Our Heart

Rooted in unity, collaboration, transparency, and continual growth, Frutos de Gracia works alongside churches and leaders to advance God’s Kingdom and cultivate lasting fruit.

The Founders

Jorge and Carmeli Silva have been part of the Water of Life family since 2003, sharing their love for Jesus and their heart for people in everything they do. Originally from Colombia and the Philippines, they’ve been married since 1983 and have spent decades living out their calling to ministry and missions.

In 2004, they helped launch Agua de Vida, a vibrant Hispanic congregation that has become a cornerstone of Water of Life’s outreach. Jorge also served as an elder, and together they’ve led small groups, taught in the School of Ministry, and developed programs that have touched countless lives.

But their mission doesn’t stop here. Over the years, Jorge and Carmeli have led trips to Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and—most significantly—Cuba, where they’ve spent the past eight years partnering with local leaders and witnessing God’s incredible work of hope and transformation. Today, as full-time missionaries, they serve under the covering of Standing Stone Ministry, an organization dedicated to guiding ministry leaders toward healthy, sustainable ministry.

Their Heart for Cuba and “el Mundo Hispano”

After retiring from his teaching career at Cal Poly Pomona, where he was honored as Faculty Emeritus, Jorge and Carmeli have devoted themselves fully to their mission: Cristo Para Cuba, soon to be known as “Frutos de Gracia. This ministry focuses on equipping pastors and leaders to thrive spiritually and emotionally, while also providing humanitarian aid and fostering economic development in communities that need it most.

Through their leadership, churches are being strengthened, families supported, and lives transformed—starting in Cuba and reaching across Latin America.
